Continental produces spare tyres in numerous dimensions and types for all of the most commonly driven vehicles, from compacts and standard-sized saloons right through to heavy off-road vehicles. Many automakers equip their vehicles with Continental spare tyres to expand the cargo area or allow room for alternative drive systems.

Spare tyres are designed for temporary and limited use in the event of a flat. They are approved for speeds of up to 80 km/h.
